TUTORING EXPERIENCE AND RELATED ACHIEVEMENTS AND SKILLS:
WORK EXPERIENCE: Over 20 years of professional experience as a software programmer and analyst. WHY I DECIDED TO TUTOR: I am at a point in my life where I want to change direction and pursue opportunities aimed at helping people and having more of a direct impact on others. I feel I am very good at explaining things and working with students. I am also interested in serving as a volunteer in such places as hospitals, community charities, etc. and tutoring gives me more freedom to pursue these interests. AREAS OF EXPERTISE AND INTEREST: I am a scientist at heart and in my pursuit of a computer science degree, I studied advanced levels of math through calculus and achieved high grades in physics. I am well read in science with a particular interest in cosmology (planets, stars, and the universe) and theoretical physics (quantum theory and string theory). I also am highly interested in the mathematics behind everyday life, especially as it applies to games. TUTORING FOCUS: High school and middle school math, SAT math, and science (especially physics and general science). CONTACT INFORMATION: Michael Stafford
